In April 12, everyone had an opportunity to experience a performance on the stage of the Embassy of Latgale GORS Big Hall by a spectacular jazz ensemble from Saint Petersburg together with the local pleasure - Rezekne Big Band – in conduction by Lauris Amantovs.
Nikolaj Parfenov`s jazz ensemble was founded in August 12, 1992. It has gained a laureate status at the international jazz festival “Jazz Parnass”. The members of the ensemble have performed in the concert halls of Czech Republic, Spain, and Saint Petersburg as well as in other venues. The repertoire of the ensemble is variable – the most of the compositions are the example of classic jazz and its versions: soul, rap, funk, fusion and similar.
