On August 21 on the roof terrace of the Embassy of Latgale GORS a place took the presentation concert of the new music album „Ašņa dasys” (Blood Sausages) of the poetic rock union “Kapļi” (Matthocks). The special guests of the concert was music group „Inokentijs Mārpls”.
In the new music album „Ašņa dasys” are included 10 songs, couple of which are already heard from the first digital mini album (EP) „Prauda par Madali” and one of which didn`t make it to the top on the competition „Supernova 2015”. However, there will be more of the new songs. Latgalian version of the „Drycanu mopedistu banda”, „Emigranta polka”, „XXL” and other songs also was included in the new album. As say the members of the group – all songs will be about the love, although, there lyrics will reveal such themes as religion, regional economics, emigration, national romanticism and others. „Kapļi” describes themselves, as the poetic rock union that does not fear to call the things in their real names. Saying, not a singing – because of the soloist, who tends to talk more than sing.
The name of the album „Ašņa dasys” is explained by the union through the similarities – the blood sausage (asinsdesa) is a dish that is not a part of the everyday meal. It is served at the special occasions. This is the warning for the audience also, to be aware of the chance of the sausages having peace of the heavier bite of the blood. There will even be an opportunity during the presentation concert to try this special dish – blood sausage.
„Kapļi” are proud of the opportunity to prove – even at the God`s forgotten place like Bozova, the far territory of Latgale, can be produced the good quality music and records.
